HYROX Performance Preparing for the HYROX Race The goal of this Program is to help you prepare for the upcoming HYROX Race. In order to effectively train for HYROX, the training program is designed to increase the efficiency of the body’s immediate, medium and long term energy pathways through short bursts of intense exercise and short periods of rest. In the HYROX race athletes will be required to run between stations, which will simulate the race format of circuit training. The strategy of training focuses on building the Running Economy to prepare the body for racing. Training is usually a combination of weight training and circuit training exercises. We use a variety of equipment including squat racks, ski machines, rowing machines, bike, sled and medicine balls. The unique aspect of this training is the building of pacing ability. Learning and adapting to metabolic fitness training is important to prepare for the HYROX Race. Coaches will teach athletes to manage their metabolic fitness pacing to increase endurance power.Kwun Tong Branch – Date & Time Mon 8:30pm Wed 12:30pm Fri 7:30pm Sat 1:30pm
HYROX Strength HYROX Muscle Strength and Explosive Power The goal of this Program is to help you prepare for the upcoming HYROX Race. In order to effectively train for HYROX, the program will focus on building muscle strength in the squat, deadlift, hip thrust, lunge, and upper body push/pull, as well as incorporating strengthening exercises, and medicine ball explosive power training. This is a progressive systematic training program that goes through four stages to achieve optimal performance for the HYROX race. It focuses on establishing good movement patterns (neuromuscular coordination), increasing muscle cross-sectional area (Type II muscle mass), increasing maximal muscle strength (improving the ability of the nervous system to recruit motor units), and specializing in explosive power and muscular endurance. This program is unlike any other training program in market. We will use an advanced monitoring technique used in professional athlete training – Velocity-based Training (VBT), which is a method of evaluating the intensity of a workout by monitoring the speed of movement of the barbell or the body in order to calculate the displacement and time. VBT is a method of determining the appropriate load weight based on the speed of movement or lifting speed, which is more effective and accurate in training.Kwun Tong Branch – Date & Time Mon 12:30pm Tue 8:30pm Thur 8:30pm Fri 8:30pm Sat 3:00pm Sun 2:00pmCauseway Bay Branch – Date & Time Wed 8:30pm Sun 1:00pm
